Proposal Rock and the Ghost Forest At Neskowin

$100.00

Proposal Rock sits in front of the Ghost Forest at Neskowin. This rare scene was caused some 2000 years ago when a section of forest collapsed onto the beach, likely caused by an earthquake. The resulting tsunami broke the trees of the forest off into stumps and buried them under sand where they were preserved for centuries. Now this ghost forest can be seen when the tide is just right, but erosion patterns are slowly uprooting these ancient stumps and washing them away.

A part of my “One of Four” series, this photo was made with a Fuji 6x17 film camera. Sadly this camera is now out of commission and all proceeds via the sales of prints from this set will go to help getting this camera to the repair shop and back in action. Thank you!

This panoramic image is printed personally by me and measures approximately 12.5 inches by 40 inches.
