Canadian Rockies

$100.00

The Canadian Rockies are an unforgettable experience. I first saw them as an eight or nine year old child, long before I developed my affinity for photography. I wouldn’t see them again for over 20 years yet the memories of that first visit stayed with me. When I did return to see them again I discovered that the impression they had made on my as a young boy was well deserved for they were as majestic as my memories had claimed them to be. We drove up out of Banff on this day in search of a frozen lake. The initial drive was bright and clear and full of many stops, during one of which this image was made. It was a good thing to, for on the return trip a few hours later visibility was about a quarter mile and we found ourselves in the middle of a winter blizzard with only the memories of the looming mountains around us to remind us they were there.

A part of my “One of Four” series, this photo was made with a Fuji 6x17 film camera. Sadly this camera is now out of commission and all proceeds via the sales of prints from this set will go to help getting this camera to the repair shop and back in action. Thank you!

This panoramic image is printed personally by me and measures approximately 12.5 inches by 40 inches.
